Located on Bath’s Royal Crescent, built over 230 years ago and one of the country’s greatest examples of Georgian architecture, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is arguably one of Britain’s most remarkable heritage hotels.
Purchased by Topland Group in 2012, a meticulous restoration process was carried out in order to restore this Grade 1 listed building to its former glory. The refurbishment has been a labour of love, with every care taken to preserve the history of a remarkable collection of buildings, while sensitively incorporating the best of modern luxuries.
The hotel’s 45 rooms and suites retain original period features, with ornately corniced ceilings, Regency portraits and soft colour palettes ensuring a stately yet homely atmosphere. From the Mansion, a secluded garden leads to the Dower House, home to award-winning The Dower House Restaurant helmed by Head Chef David Campbell, and The Montagu champagne and cocktail bar. Tucked away in a separate Georgian building lies The Spa offering an extensive range of therapies with ESPA products and featuring a tranquillity pool, hot and cold plunge tubs as well as a hammam.
Lead-in rates at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa start from £230 on a double occupancy B&B basis.
