Microsoft UK announced as speaker for 2016 East Lothian Tourism Conference

East Lothian Council announces Steve Tassell, Head of Business to Business Marketing and Communications at Microsoft UK as the final keynote speaker, completing the impressive line-up for the East Lothian Tourism Conference, Connect4.
Steve will be speaking about the importance of digital technologies and how businesses can capitalise on this at the 8th annual conference taking place on 22nd March at The Brunton, Musselburgh.

Cllr John McMillan, East Lothian Council Economic Development spokesperson, will be opening the conference. Speaking about the event, Cllr McMillan, said: “The addition of Steve to the event programme is very exciting news. Steve is an innovator and true expert in the execution of effective social media and digital strategies. We hope delegates will be encouraged by all the discussions and that they will adopt digital to enhance their businesses and communicate their tourism offerings in the area.”  

Steve joined Microsoft UK in 1999 and specialises in building brand loyalty through marketing automation, social media and digital marketing platforms–key areas for development in the tourism industry. Steve joins an engaging panel of speakers, each offering their own insights and expertise on collaboration, social media, communications and digital marketing to inspire tourism businesses across Scotland.

The conference line-up also includes: Tamara Lohan, Chief Technology Officer and founder of Mr & Mrs Smith; Marc Crothall, Chief Executive of Scottish Tourism Alliance; Riddell Graham, Director of Partnerships at VisitScotland; Chelsea Charles, Special Projects Communications Manager at VisitScotland; Lynda Dalgleish, Head of Marketing at The Royal Yacht Britannia; and Alasdair Smart, Tourism Manager at ScotRail.
