Blenheim Palace appoints new head of hospitality catering

Chris Rees
Blenheim Palace has appointed Chris Rees as the new head of its corporate hospitality catering.   The new appointment is the latest in a series of key recruitments at the Oxfordshire UNESCO World Heritage Site aimed at building on its growing reputation as a top class hospitality venue.

Previously Chris worked for the privately owned Trailfinders Sports Stadium & Conference Centre. He trained with Michelin-starred chef Richard Shepherd at Langan’s Events and has worked at prestigious locations such as Windsor Castle and Natural History Museum.

“I am very much looking forward to drawing on all my experience in hospitality to help maintain and build on Blenheim Palace’s reputation as a world class visitor attraction,” said Chris.

Also new to the team are Michelle Vakaj, Deputy General Manager and Matt Thomas, Managing Director (Searcy’s Blenheim Palace).

Blenheim Palace has been playing host to monarchs, the aristocracy and heads of state for more than three centuries. Today the 2000-acre UNESCO World Heritage Site offers the ultimate bespoke corporate facilities in a truly awe-inspiring location.

Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, within easy reach of London, it is a unique and inspiring venue perfectly suited for holding conferences, meetings and exhibitions, and for entertaining clients.
