Event caterer Grazing Events announce stellar management team

Blake Henderson, Head of Operations, Grazing Events
Premium London event caterer, Grazing Events, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of industry specialists Claire Hoolahan as Head of Sales and Blake Henderson as Head of Operations; both newly created roles.
The appointments come as Grazing Events pushes forward with a strategic business development programme, to cement its position as one of the Capital’s most exciting and dynamic caterers.

Claire has been brought on board to develop Grazing’s list of preferred venue partners in London, which already includes The View from The Shard, Old Billingsgate and Glaziers Hall among others. She joins the Grazing team with over 10 years’ sales experience, including three years with leading event catering company Create Food & Party Design, part of The Concerto Group, two years at BMA House in Bloomsbury and two years with Simply Gourmet in London in sales and event management roles.

Blake, originally from New Zealand, worked for the Pack Investment Group in Auckland for five years, during which he opened several of their most successful restaurants and bars. He then kicked off his UK hospitality career in 2010 as Senior Bar Manager at the iconic Tower of London before moving over to Create. Most recently, Blake has spent the last four years at Create, during which he took on an interim role taking responsibility for all the Concerto Group/Ultimate Experience events for summer and Christmas alongside his main role as Senior Event Manager.

Claire and Blake will work closely alongside Founder and Managing Director Sam Hurst and Executive Head Chef Robbie Lorraine. Claire’s remit involves expanding the profile of the business and securing new corporate accounts whilst Blake will oversee all aspects of the event operations.

Commenting on her appointment, Claire said, “I am really happy to be working at Grazing. The company has a brilliant ethos that allows us to bring our own personality to the role and it’s also a dynamic business with an ambitious growth plan which feeds my commercial interest. It’s very refreshing to work with such a passionate small team and to have the opportunity to really make my mark on shaping the future of the business.”

Blake added, “I’m thrilled to be working with such a passionate team to achieve our common goal of pushing out the ‘amazing Grazing’ message.  London is a fantastic city with some of the most unique and unusual venues in the world that make for an incredible backdrop to corporate and social events. With my knowledge of the London venue landscape and a commitment to delivering inspiring and truly memorable events, I am looking forward to creating something really special at Grazing that’s exciting, refreshing and, most importantly, that makes customers smile!”

Sam commented on the appointments, “I’m delighted to welcome Claire and Blake to the team at an exciting time for Grazing. They’re both very well known in the market and are a superb team, so their extensive experience and great contacts in the industry should prove a winning formula for Grazing as we look to expand our niche in the market. These appointments mark the start of a new period for us and I couldn’t be more excited to have them on board!”

Grazing Events is a premium event caterer based in London. Injecting a dash of personality into everything they do, the Grazing team delivers fun and innovative menus for all kinds of corporate entertaining and special events, creating stand out experiences each and every time.

The Grazing concept was developed by entrepreneur Sam Hurst, from humble beginnings with a single café located in The City.  Sam’s vision was to create high quality, mouth-wateringly good, wholesome food for fast-paced City diners on the go. The concept took off at a rapid pace, with local businesses spearheading a demand for regular office catering and, more significantly, off-site corporate catering. Thus, Grazing Events was born.
