Custard Communications makes two new key appointments

Custard Communications, the hospitality industry marketing and PR expert, has appointed two new account directors to further strengthen its growing team.
Lesley Whyte and Mika Bishop have joined the integrated communications agency that has built an enviable reputation for delivering outstanding results for its hospitality clients, at an exciting and instrumental time for the business.

Together they will be supporting managing director Petra Clayton to develop the company, which will shortly be celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Lesley (40) has previously worked both in-house as a senior PR manager and in various freelance and permanent agency roles. Combining both consumer and business-to-business skills, her experience is multi-industry and has seen her successfully develop and head up creative campaigns for luxury venues and numerous event and hospitality clients as well prestigious shows such as The Edible Garden Show, Blenheim Palace Flower Show and Hylands Flower Show.

Mika (42) has several years of consumer travel PR experience gained in London and Tokyo and has worked with luxury hotels, launched destinations, strengthened specialist tour operator profiles, and promoted airlines. In addition to her experience of working with a very wide range of domestic and international clients, Mika brings to Custard new extensive travel media contacts, plus knowledge of consumer product launches and issues management.

Paving the way for some exceptional campaigns and reinforcing the importance of structure and focus, Lesley plays a key part in building reputation and presence for Custard as well as for our clients.”

Mika brings an exceptional amount of knowledge to the team from her years working in travel and hospitality PR and will be supporting the growth of the team as well as the growth and development of our clients’ businesses.”

Next month Custard will be hoping to secure more clients from across the UK when it provides hoteliers with a one-stop-shop of all the support and advice they could need at this year’s Independent Hotel Show at Olympia London.
