Sodexo strengthens sales team in Aberdeen

Leading catering and events company, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, has appointed Ryan Candy to the new role of Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator at Aberdeen Football Club.  
Ryan, who studied at Robert Gordon University, has worked with the company for more than four years, originally joining its hospitality operations before working part-time in the role of Business Support Co-ordinator.

Working in the sales team and based at Pittodrie, Ryan will be responsible for strengthening and promoting the business in the local market. The role is the first marketing focused position created by Sodexo at the Football Club.

Kenny Garden, General Manager for Sodexo at Aberdeen Football Club, said: “Ryan has a real flair and passion for sales and marketing and has impressed us with his dedication and commitment to the job.  

“This new role will allow us to strengthen our marketing activity and raise the profile of the ‘off-pitch’ opportunities available at Aberdeen Football Club.”  

Sodexo has enjoyed a partnership with Aberdeen Football Club for more than 20 years, providing catering and hospitality on both match-days and non-matchdays. The team is responsible for more than 200 events every year, including corporate meetings, conferences and private social occasions.
