Warwick Castle welcomes new Divisional Director, Nick Blofeld

 New Divisional Director of Warwick Castle, Nick Blofeld Officially Opens Knight’s Village today, 1 July, with a little help from castle characters.

Warwick Castle’s contemporary history

Warwick Castle is welcoming its new Divisional Director, Nick Blofeld, in time for a busy summer.  Nick brings extensive experience from across the leisure industry and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the castles operations moving forward.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role at such an exciting time in Warwick Castle’s history,” commented Nick.  He continued:   “On 1 July we formally open our new lodges in Knight’s Village.  This will usher in a packed calendar of events for the summer, and also provide year round accommodation for families and groups, widening our appeal and continuing to cement our place as one of the UK’s foremost tourism attractions. 

"I’m looking forward to this launch and also to working on the longer term future of Warwick Castle; as it will be my role to build a strategy that continues to protect one of the country’s best preserved historic sights together with the current, very able team.”

Prior to joining the Warwick Castle team, Nick spent five years as CEO of Bath Rugby Club where he was responsible for all commercial and operational aspects of the business. Before this Nick was Commercial Director, and later Managing Director, of Epsom Racecourse where he oversaw the development and launch of a new Hotel and Grandstand as well as successfully delivering the internationally renowned Derby Festival on an annual basis.   Nick has a degree in Politics and Economics from Loughborough University as well as an MBA from Cranfield University.
