The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has announced the appointment of Mr. Paul Gallagher as a new Non-Executive Director of The CCD Management Company.
“We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Gallagher to The CCD Board”, said Executive Chairman, Dermod Dwyer. “Paul brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the hospitality and tourism sectors, complementing the current board’s expertise.”

Mr. Gallagher has worked in the hospitality sector for over 27 years with responsibility for hotels in Ireland, the UK and Eastern Europe.  He commented that he is delighted to be joining the team at The Convention Centre Dublin. “I am looking forward to taking up this role and working with the team at The Convention Centre Dublin. Business tourism has a positive outlook for Ireland in the coming years” he added, “and The CCD has long since been a key driver of this, attracting high profile international conferences and associations to Dublin.”

A graduate of Shannon School of Hotel Management, Paul began his career with the Ryan Hotel Group working in Amsterdam, returning to Dublin two years later where he continued his career in the hospitality industry.  Paul has held a number of other non-executive roles including board member of the Tourism Recover Task force (2011-2013) and President of the Irish Hotels Federation (2010-2012).
