Jonathan Walker appointed Managing Director, No.15 Great Pulteney, Bath - opening September 2016

Jonathan Walker, MD, No.15 Great Pulteney, Bath
Jonathan Walker has been appointed Managing Director of No. 15 Great Pulteney, set to open as Bath’s newest boutique hotel in September 2016.
Jonathan will lead the pre-launch and launch of the new hotel, acquired by established Bath hoteliers Ian & Christa Taylor in March 2016. The Grade I listed Georgian townhouse will open with 31 bedrooms, a cocktail bar, private dining room, a series of sitting rooms and small spa with interiors by Martin Hulbert Design.

Jonathan Walker comes to No. 15 Great Pulteney from his most recent role as Operations Director at The Hotel Collection, following 16 years of experience with InterContinental Hotels Group, culminating in four years as Director of Hotel Performance and Operations Support. A local resident and expert in British hotels, Jonathan brings extensive experience to this new opening.

Jonathan said “I am really thrilled to be leading the opening of No. 15 Great Pulteney. This is really a dream project – as both a member of the local community and a hotelier – with so much potential. I am looking forward to working closely with the team, local residents and the people of Bath to create something really special for the city.”

Ian Taylor said “We are really pleased to have Jonathan on board for this exciting opening. His experience in working with well-known British hotels including the Lygon Arms, Cotswolds, combined with twenty years of living locally, will be invaluable. It is incredibly important that we have the very best team possible in place and I have every confidence that Jonathan will lead from the front.”

No. 15 Great Pulteney is set to make the most of its historic central location, moments from Bath’s best sites yet a wonderfully quiet, exclusive address. The hotel will offer guests all of the understated sophistication of a private townhouse, with the service, charm and elegance of a luxury hotel. This will be a stylish place to stay and a meeting place for local residents; relaxed and comfortable, with a touch of modern glamour.

The acquisition brings the Taylor’s portfolio in Bath to three hotels; No. 15 Great Pulteney will join the Abbey Hotel and Villa Magdala, reaffirming the Taylor’s ongoing commitment to investing in Bath and its local community.
