Brentford Hotel manager to lead local chamber of commerce

A senior manager at Holiday Inn - London Brentford Lock is to be named President of the Brentford Chamber of Commerce.
David O’Connor has been asked to head the organisation, which represents the interests of dozens of businesses in the area.
David, Meetings and Events Sales Manager at the hotel, will be confirmed as President by local MP Ruth Cadbury at the Chamber of Commerce’s AGM later this month.

His appointment underlines the hotel’s commitment to the local community and reaffirms its commitment to helping local businesses to thrive.

David said: “For almost a century, the Brentford Chamber of Commerce has protected the interests of the local business community. It is an absolute honour to be selected as President and I will do all I can to continue this great tradition.

“The whole team at Holiday Inn – London Brentford Lock, is committed to engaging with the community at every opportunity and this will help us to become even more deeply connected with the area, its residents and its businesses.”

The hotel, operated by the UK’s largest independent hotel management company, Redefine|BDL Hotels, has been involved with numerous local initiatives, such as sponsoring the Brentford School for Girls summer fete, hosting the last two Spark! education awards, and supporting apprenticeships in the local area.
