New reservations manager checks in at Bristol hotel

Jessica Lorenzen
Bristol’s leading four-star hotel has appointed a new reservations manager to help deal with an increase in levels of business.
Jessica Lorenzen (26), who originally comes from Bristol, has now taken up the post at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Bristol City Centre hotel on Redcliffe Way.

She will look to consolidate the hotel’s position as the leading venue for corporate clients and business people looking for a place to stay while in the city and also group reservations.

With the hotel enjoying an on-going increase in bookings and enquiries, bosses decided that the venue needed someone to solely look after conference and events with corporate clients and group reservations also having a dedicated manager.

In addition, with the venue benefiting from a major £650,000 extension, which will increase its conference and meeting capacity and add more bedrooms, levels of business are expected to rise further when it opens in the spring.

Having worked in the hospitality sector since she was 18 years old, Jessica worked her way up through the ranks to become front of house manager at the Stonehouse Court in Gloucester.

Wanting a change of scene Jessica decided a move back to the city of her birth was needed and jumped at the chance when the opportunity arose to work in the city’s best ranked four-star hotel.

She is now looking forward to building the hotel’s reputation for both business and leisure travellers wanting four-star quality and in close proximity to Temple Meads station, the M32 and Bristol’s many attractions.

Jessica said: “Bristol is so vibrant and there is always something going on. This helps make the hotel a very busy and active place.

“Its location, which is close to the Temple Quarter business sector, has also made it the hotel of choice for many business people visiting the city. The opening of the new conference and meeting rooms will no doubt add to the venue’s attraction so it’s a great time to have joined.”
