Voyages to Antiquity celebrates new cruise director – Richard Sykes joins cultural cruise line

Cruise director, Richard Sykes has joined the expanding team at Voyages to Antiquity this month. Richard will not only bring six years’ experience to the company but also a wealth of knowledge of the cruising industry.  
Richard joins Voyages to Antiquity from the end of February 2016. His experience includes cruising with  Cruise & Maritime Voyages as Senior Cruise Director and setting up the new CMV Signature brand in 2013. Sykes loves travel, and is also an accomplished musician and vocalist.

Richard Sykes, cruise director, Voyages to Antiquity, explains:   “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining MV Aegean Odyssey with Voyages to Antiquity. I’m now in my 16th year on cruise ships but the itineraries from Voyages to Antiquity offer destinations that even I have yet to explore. I look forward to experiencing this new adventure alongside the Voyages to Antiquity guests.”  

Richard and the team will take guests on the Ancient Jordan to Classical Greece cruise on 19 March 2016 to experience the world famous archaeological sites including the desert city of Petra and the Graceo-Roman ruins at Jerash.  

The 18-day cruise starting from £2,850 per person based on a 19 March 2016 UK departure, and calls at Amman (Jordan), Petra (Jordan), Aqaba (Jordan), Suez Canal (Egypt), Limassol (Cyprus), Rhodes (Greece), Heraklion (Crete, Greece), Delos (Greece), Mykonos (Greece), Santorini (Greece), Gythion (Greece), Nauplia (Greece) before arriving in Athens (Greece) for a two night stay and the flight home. Price includes return flights and shore excursions. All gratuities for restaurant and cabin staff on board are included, as well as a 10% single supplement, and wine with dinner while onboard.
