Capita Travel and Events appoints Colin Freeman to new board role

Capita Travel and Events has appointed Colin Freeman to the new board role of chief customer officer.  
Leading a unified approach to the development and delivery of future services, Colin has overall responsibility for the sales, account management and marketing functions.  
Colin has over 28 years’ experience in creating, developing and leading sales organisations across the telecommunications and business information sectors.

Much of his experience comes from taking an analytical approach to delivering customer insight; this expertise will be exploited to help Capita Travel and Events deliver innovative solutions to corporate travel customers.  

Speaking about his new role, Colin said: “I am very pleased to have joined Capita Travel and Events at such an exciting time for the company and the industry. I am working with our sales, account management and marketing teams to ensure we all create an unrelenting focus on the customer in everything we do. That will be a key factor in building upon Capita Travel and Events’ specialist reputation and ensuring a consistent experience for current and prospective customers when and wherever they engage with us.”

We’re delighted Colin has agreed to join us to lead and help align our customer facing teams, in order to maximise customer acquisition, retention and growth through long-term performance.”

Colin recently served as UK & Ireland Market Leader for Dun & Bradstreet, where he led the company's sales organisation, supporting enterprise and corporate customers, providing business information and analytical insights to the UK corporate market.

Prior to that, he held senior sales leadership roles at Verizon Enterprise Services and BT Global Solutions, supporting multi-national corporations in the global telecommunications industry.
