The Lugger Hotel unveils new General Manager

Portloe’s award-winning Lugger Hotel has announced the appointment of Matt Redhead to the role of General Manager. Redhead, who grew up and studied in nearby St Austell joins with more than 20 years’ experience in the travel and tourism industry. Past roles include a decade with Cunard on board the QE2, the iconic Midland hotel in Morecambe, St Michaels Hotel & Spa in Falmouth, as well as the Headland hotel in Newquay.

Operated by Bespoke Hotels since 2011, The Lugger is an award-winning seaside property set in the picturesque fishing village of Portloe, at the heart of Cornwall’s Roseland Peninsula. Offering 22 spacious rooms, many of which boast stunning views across the bay, alongside a bar, terrace and fine-dining restaurant, the property has won numerous accolades, including being named “Best Seaside Hotel” by the Sunday Times.
