The Chedi Muscat appoints Executive Regional Director of Sales and Marketing

Lore Koenig
The Chedi Muscat announces the arrival of Lore Koenig, who has returned to Oman as the Executive Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Lore will be responsible for the overall strategic sales, marketing and communication of the hotel locally, regionally and internationally, ensuring it continues to be positioned at the top of the market.

A German native, Lore originally joined The Chedi Muscat in 2004 as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was part of the hotel’s pioneer team and was a major contributor in establishing it as the leading hotel in the region. After six years at The Chedi Muscat, Lore returned to Germany to work as Executive Director of Sales at Kerzner International, overseeing prestigious brands such as Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas, Atlantis The Palm,  Dubai, Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, Morocco and nine One&Only Resorts.

Over the years, Lore has built considerable experience in the luxury hospitality segment, beginning her career at InterContinental Hotels, where she spent ten years working her way up the career ladder. Following this, she worked at the Hyatt Carlton Tower in London before being appointed as Director of Sales for Germany, Austria and Switzerland for Shangri-La Hotels. In 2002, she moved to the Middle East as Director of Sales for Shangri-La Dubai, the Group’s first opening outside of Asia.

Morton Johnson, General Manager of The Chedi Muscat, comments: “We are delighted to welcome Lore back to The Chedi Muscat. I was fortunate enough to work alongside her previously and believe that her commitment and dedication combined with a very strong work ethic will ensure that The Chedi Muscat continues to be the leading hotel in the Middle East. Lore already has a relationship with the guests and staff as well as a solid understanding of the hotel and region so I am confident she will quickly become an integral part of the team.”
