Hidden Gem Venues - Windmill Hill, Garden Museum, London and PITCH Stratford, London

This month, at venuepot, we have come across some extremely unique event spaces in our searches within the UK that a venue finder may not necessarily think of when planning their clients’ upcoming event. These spaces range from indoor to outdoor settings, especially as we hit the summer season.

Take a look at some of our findings…
Windmill Hill, Waddesdon Estate, Buckinghamshire - The Waddesdon Estate is made up of Waddesdon Manor, The Five Arrows Hotel, The Dairy, and Windmill Hill, giving you four different venue spaces to suit all styles of events such as conferences and meetings, Christmas parties and team building exercises all year round.

Waddesdon Manor which was built for the Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the 1870’s to display his collections and entertain his fashionable guests, has the grand detailed rooms and architectural designs. The Five Arrows Hotel has recently renovated 16 bedrooms and meeting facilities for up to 60 people.

The Dairy is set in private grounds, so it is perfect for exclusive events with log fires in winter to summer evenings on the lakeside patio, and lastly the Windmill Hill, which has a farm that has been converted into a contemporary architectural space – ideal for more discreet board meetings and private dining experiences.

Garden Museum, London – This hidden gem venue is situated on the banks of the River Thames, near to the Houses of Parliament in London. The Garden museum celebrates and explores the British gardens and gardening through its collection of exhibitions and events.

The venue has 3 event spaces in total; The Nave which has gorgeous high ceilings and stained-glass windows, with a mix of modern and traditional architecture, accommodating up to 120 for a dinner setting. When hiring The Nave you also have immediate access to the Sackler Garden, which can accommodate up to 120 people standing, with floor to ceiling windows leading outside to the terrace area. The final space is The Clore Learning Space - this room can only accommodate up to 30 in a cabaret style, but the bright space and windows looking onto the terrace makes it a great space to get the creative ideas flowing.

PITCH Stratford, London - PITCH is a feel-good, vibrant, outdoor venue, with retro styling, 80s party booths and bright colours throughout the venue, located in the heart of Stratford, London. This exclusive space can be used as an open-air cinema, a roof terrace or for street food. Located deep in East London this venue space can host up to 400 people, beneath its canopy, perfect for those summer evening receptions or summer launches.
