The Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer of the Rezidor Group is Puneet Chhatwal. He describes himself as ‘part of the furniture’ because he has been with the group for 14 years and he also suggests that he is not very clever but does claim to have common sense, which, he says, he sees as vital for the hotel industry.

Rotana’s first major hotel was the Rotana Beach in Abu Dhabi. Possibly still the flagship property, it has benefited from the more recent development of Yas Island just offshore, so that the Abu Dhabi Formula One race circuit and Ferrari World, the world’s biggest indoor theme park, have added to the hotel’s attractions.

When the Swiss offer investors a project valued at £700m, the world takes notice. That is why ITCM was pleased to meet Andrea Jorger in London. He is Senior Vice President, Marketing & Real Estate, of the largest construction project ever undertaken in Switzerland. Known as ‘The Circle’, it is a plan for an Airport City at Zurich Airport.
It was no surprise, then, that he was in the company of Marc Rauch, Corporate Communications Director of Zurich Airport.

Be warned! The vast majority of event organisers who visit Twickenham Rugby Stadium end up booking its function spaces. They are surprised at how many indoor and outdoor facilities there are, all so different that they can’t claim there isn’t one to suit their event.
‘We have a conversion rate of over 90% when we show people round,’ says Simon Mills, Head of Sales & Marketing for Twickenham Experience.
Walking through the labyrinthine stadium with him, I wondered how he knew his way after only four months in the job.
