According to CEO Caleb Parker, it is the piece that completes the picture for business executives who want to work efficiently internationally, maintaining an upmarket image but keeping expenses down to a minimum.
Modern technology is said to provide the opportunity to keep in touch and carry on working wherever you travel. However, there are those occasions when a venue is a ‘must’ in order to have a face-to-face meeting, or a group brainstorming session or where a presentation can be made to invited guests. ‘Or, of course, ‘says Caleb, ‘a place where you can work more comfortably than on the table of a coffee shop’.
Caleb explains that through the MeetingRooms.com service, a user can tap into full details and illustrations of venues of every type and size available in (so far) 42 different countries.
’We are now uploading thousands more’, he says, ‘so that the choice is constantly growing. Tap in the essential requirements, such as location, type of venue required, how soon you need it and for how long and for how many people – and the system comes up instantly with a choice of venues that are available - with the prices.’
Once the clients have made a choice of the venues on offer, they deal direct with the venues to do the deal. However, payment is made via MeetingRooms.com, which has set up a convenient, fast and secure system.
In spite of his American accent, Caleb lives in London where the new service is headquartered. It has been devised by the British entrepreneur, Richard Smith, who also founded Search Office Space.
