Hoteliers invited to apply for Master Innholder status

2016 Master Innholders receiving their honours at Innholders Hall
The Master Innholders, an esteemed group of influential hoteliers established by the Worshipful Company of Innholders in 1978, is calling on the sector’s leading hotel management professionals to apply for the prestigious ‘Master Innholder’ accolade. Successful applicants will be granted Master Innholder status and will join an inspiring group of individuals, who collectively set the standards and shape the future of the UK’s hotel industry.

Master Innholders make a significant contribution to the work of industry organisations and industry training and education initiatives. In its objective of advancing professional standards in hotel management, the Master Innholders has developed two popular and highly sought-after educational programmes – the Master Innholder Scholarships and the Aspiring Leaders Diploma.

Stuart Bowery FIH MI, Chairman of the Master Innholders, comments: “One of my main focuses is to promote and grow the Master Innholders membership with hoteliers who actively give back to the industry and deliver excellence on all levels. The accolade of being a Master Innholder brings wide recognition, helping hoteliers to positively influence standards in the sector. It’s an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed and I strongly encourage all hoteliers who fit the criteria to apply.”

Master Innholder status is open to hoteliers from all backgrounds. Applicants must be able to prove that they continually exceed guest expectations, hold exemplary skills in business management and, critically, are dedicated to maintaining professional standards.

To be considered for the honour, candidates must complete an application form, which must also be accompanied by a short paper detailing the applicant’s management approach and what they will bring to the Master Innholders.

All applications must be received by 30 January 2017. Full details on applying, including application guidance and timelines, can be found here:

Candidates wishing to find out more about the Master Innholders network can attend its Annual General Managers’ Conference, taking place 16-17 January 2017 at the newly opened Hilton London Bankside. The 2017 agenda is set to explore the future of hospitality and the evolving generations of strategy, design, leadership and the consumer.
