ibis Styles comes to Birmingham Hagley Road

ibis Styles Birmingham Hagley Road

Newly opened hotel pays homage to the city’s history with edgy, industrial inspired interior

Situated a mere 10 minutes from Broad Street and the vibrant up-town area of Birmingham, is the newly opened ibis Styles Birmingham Hagley Road. Ideal for tourists and business travellers alike, it’s located a short drive away from the Rag Market and Bullring shopping centre, and boasts excellent transport links to Birmingham’s main stations.

Inspired by the rich manufacturing and industrial history of the city, themes of Birmingham’s past run through every room and space in the hotel. Furniture includes carefully restored original factory pieces and modern interpretations of industrial style; bare metals and exposed concrete are complimented by brightly coloured furnishings, and stand out features include Chesterfield sofas, vintage laboratory style stools and colourful cityscape prints.

Bedrooms have a cavernous feel, with deep metallic hues and hidden archways. Artistic prints adorn the walls, adding to the postmodern contemporary vibe. Honouring the textile houses which once called Birmingham home, carpets feature geometric designs, in perfect contrast to the block colours of the walls.

“The new ibis Styles Birmingham Hagley Road is a fantastic new addition to our portfolio. It wholly encapsulates the ethos behind Styles, which is to create a hotel with a unique, bespoke design to showcase the personality of the local area,” said Karelle Lamouche, SVP of Budget & Economy Brands at Accor UK. “Birmingham is the UK’s ‘second city’, so we’re looking forward to welcoming many guests including tourists, overseas travellers and business workers alike.”

Overnight stays start from just £60 for a double room, bed and breakfast.
