Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort launches diving packages to world’s first underwater museum

Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort diving packages

New Four Day PADI Open-Water Course and Experienced Diver Package Include Trip to Jason de-Caires Taylor’s Museo Atlantico

The Five-star Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort is pleased to introduce two brand new diving packages set to blow all others out the water. The innovative packages, one of which provides a beginners’ PADI open-water diving course, include guided boat and dive tours of the recently opened and critically acclaimed Museo Atlantico underwater museum.

Princesa Yaiza divers will be among the first to experience the awe-inspiring museum, accessible only to snorkelers and scuba divers. The brainchild of sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, the 60 impressive human sculptures on display were designed as an exploration of how artwork can be altered to eventually become a part of its environment.

The PADI open water diving course provides beginners with an essential grounding in dive theory, teaching students all the basic skills they need in the resort pool before they complete dives in open water. Following completion of the course, divers will receive a PADI open water licence allowing them to dive anywhere in the world with a certified buddy.

For more experienced divers, Princesa Yaiza will offer a Six-Dive Package. In addition to the guided tour of the Museo Atlantico, divers can choose from the resort’s regular boat and shore dives. These include Flamingo Wall, a beautiful undersea wall which hundreds of bream and other small reef fish call home, and Punta Berrugo, a rocky seabed bursting with marine life where divers can explore an ancient shipwreck.

The courses will run on a daily basis year-round – excepting Sundays during low season – and include dive equipment, certification costs, all dives and entrance fee to the Museo Atlantico. All dives will be accompanied by a qualified guide.

Located on a pristine white, sandy beach and benefiting from superb year-round weather, Princesa Yaiza is ideal for a short-haul, stress busting mini-break. The superb Thalasso and Spa Centre offers an extensive treatment menu, including facials, massages and hydrotherapy, to address the health and wellbeing of guests. Princesa Yaiza is also well known for its excellent choice of award-winning cuisine, with eight restaurants offering delicious menus to suit all tastes.

The Beginners’ PADI open water diving course costs €473 for 3-4 days (the fourth day consists of a 2 ½ hour guided tour of the Museo Atlantico. The 6-Dive package costs €249 and includes a guided tour of the Museo Atlantico plus 5 regular boat and shore dives of the diver’s choice.

Rates for a Basic Superior Room at Princesa Yaiza start from €206 per night including a buffet breakfast, based on two people sharing.
