Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort to host the Turkish Airlines Open 2016

This November, Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort will play host to the Turkish Airlines Open Golf Tournament 2016, one of Europe’s most prestigious golfing events. Taking place between 3rd – 6th November, the tournament will see the crème de la crème of the golfing world, including Rory McIlroy, step onto the Carya Golf Course to take part in the $7 million purse contest.

Now in its fourth year, the Turkish Airlines Open has seen leading professional golfers such as Tiger Woods and McIlroy play together with successful amateur golfers. As part of European Tour Productions, the Tournament will be broadcast by 45 media outlets across 58 countries. It is expected to reach around 500 million homes over four days, via both live and recorded broadcasts  

Ali Şafak Öztürk, President of the Board of Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort said, ‘We are proud to host a number of significant international events. Between 3 and 6 November, we will be hosting the finest golfers in the world. The Tournament, followed closely by international media, will extend the already close association of Belek with world class golfing, and contributes greatly to the promotion of our country.’  

Chosen as the best golf destination by IAGTO in 2008, the hotel houses two world class golf courses – Carya Golf and the National Golf Club. Celebrated as the first 18 hole illuminated course in Europe, the Carya Golf Club will host the tournament, whilst the neighbouring National Golf Club offers 27 holes for spectators and guests to enjoy during the competition.
