Hilton Bankside celebrates London Design Festival

Hilton Bankside celebrates London Design Festival
Teaming up with Better Bankside, the new Hilton Bankside has commissioned a beautiful living installation for the London Design Festival that, although created from living plants, maintains the urban feel of the Bankside area.

Created by the London florists All For Love, the installation features the words BANKSIDE spelt out in British plants including ferns, ivy and English herbs.  Ruth Davis the founder OF All For Love, said: ‘The concept is to create a modern yet living structure that reflects the urban vibe of the area.’

Whilst adding a green, eco-friendly element to the city, it will also mirror some already present urban murals and creations found throughout the area which all spell out the word Bankside.  Positioned outside Hilton Bankside’s bar The Distillery on Prices Street, each letter has been expertly made by the event production company, Pollen Crew, and stands at 1.5m tall.

The Hilton Bankside is no stranger to promoting green features, it also houses a rooftop meadow where British jewellery designer, Alex Monroe, has designed some beautiful bee hives. After the London Design Festival is over, the letters will be re-used by the hotel while the plants find new homes in the Bankside area.
