Nestled in one of London’s most bustling corners, the newly re-branded Canary Riverside Plaza is launching a menu that celebrates the best of British culinary fare. This summer, Head Chef Ricardo Garcia Sunet, is serving cuisine that takes guests of the hotel on a culinary adventure around the United Kingdom whilst giving a gentle nod to international favourites across the globe.

Quadrato, the new restaurant at Canary Riverside Plaza and Sunet’s new gastronomic playground, will be centred on simple, beautifully cooked British food with a contemporary and international twist; and all created with the help of local producers and British farmers.  

Hero summer dishes: With the seasons firmly front of mind, this summer sees dishes such as cured Scottish salmon pickled vegetables and yoghurt; fresh pea, spring onion risotto with lemon dressing and and rabbit terrine, asparagus, English mustard and rye bread croutons and Wild Sea Bass, stewed celery, clams, baby onions and wild mushrooms.  All of these mouth-watering celebrate a rustic farm to table concept in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.  

Sunet, a chef inspired by watching his mother cook while growing up in rural Catalonia, has always favoured working with family-run suppliers. In creating the new menu for Canary Riverside Plaza he eagerly hand-selected family run butchers, suppliers based in the Lake District, and some of Scotland’s most respected seafood producers.   

And while the food might conjure up images of the rolling countryside, English forests, Scottish rivers, and fragrant meadows in the height of a British Summer, the location of the hotel in the energetic business district of London’s capital provides the very best of both worlds. Guests of Canary Riverside Plaza can take advantage of the often all too short British Summer by dining on the leafy terrace on the banks of the River Thames; a sensational contrast of rural delicacies enjoyed in the heart of London’s urban jungle.
