Contemporary Relais & Chateaux hotel, Le Saint-James is located only 15 minutes from Bordeaux city centre and 20 minutes from Bordeaux Airport. The hotel has just launched the Meet & Eat in Bordeaux package, offering corporate groups of 12 or more the best of the region’s gastronomy, from just €550 per person for a two night incentive or meeting.

The Meet & Eat in Bordeaux package offers value for money in one of the 'must see' destinations for 2016 and includes two night’s accommodation, breakfast both mornings, dinner in the acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant and a lunch in the traditional French bistro. Also included is a group cookery class in the hotel’s own cookery school and a wine tasting session with the hotel’s head sommelier, Richard Bernard.

Located on the ‘balcony of Bordeaux’, Le Saint-James is known for both its vast collection of art and unique architecture, which was designed by famous French designer, Jean Nouvel, to reflect the tobacco drying barns in the Lot region. With panoramic views as the focal point for all 18 bedrooms and suites, the hotel overlooks the grandeur of Bordeaux city centre, the River Garonne, and the hotel’s own vineyard and swimming pool.

Ideal for exclusive use, the hotel specialises in board retreats, incentive groups and client entertaining. Saint-Emillion is a short drive away, providing a wealth of opportunities to taste some of the finest wines in the Aquitaine region. Richard Bernard, head of food and wine at Le Saint-James was named French Sommelier of the year, and hosts specialised wine tastings onsite.

Bordeaux is noted for its gastronomy, and groups can enjoy fun and interactive cooking classes in the hotel’s own on-site cookery school, ‘Côté Cours'. The sessions are relaxed, and guests are able to sit back and enjoy the food that they have created with a glass of the region’s finest wine in hand.

There is fast Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and three contemporary event spaces for up to 50 delegates. There is also a beautiful outdoor terrace where corporate events for up to 200 people can be catered for.

Bordeaux is now the second most visited city in France, and it is unsurprising considering the city’s 15 year makeover. Expect outdoor cafes, trendy bars, designer shops, chic and contemporary restaurants, plus stunning art and design throughout the city.

< The new interactive, multi-sensory wine museum, La Cité du Vin will open in June 2016, providing another incentive for corporate groups to visit the area. Expected to bring in an additional 450,000 visitors to the city per year, the attraction will be the world’s largest cultural centre dedicated to the universal living heritage of wine.
