One Warwick Park, the elegant 39-room hotel, in Tunbridge Wells’ historic Pantiles district, was finally unveiled last week at a glittering launch party.
Attended by over 300 of Kent’s finest and brightest including Managing Director of The Savoy; Kiaran MacDonald, the Queen’s Personal Jeweler; Harry Collins and Tunbridge Wells MP Greg Clarke. Owner operators Markerstudy Leisure announced that the elegant property would officially open to the public from Friday July 1st 2016.

Privileged guests were given an exclusive first look at the property including the Duplex Suite filled with period features, the timber-beamed Function Room and L’AMORE restaurant and bar. Invitees were handed maps upon arrival and invited to make their way around the creatively reimagined brew house and schoolhouse.

Of all the rooms, suites and entertainment spaces, the gallery space displaying original works from artist Melanie Berman and statement pieces including the JC Collection Juliette ring (£79,000) and rare Skeleton Patek Philippe (£64,000) from the Queen’s jeweler Harry Collins commanded the greatest interest after 12 months of conjecture over the subterranean build.

Guests experienced the culinary dexterity of Head Chef Marco Goldin enjoying canapés of crunchy ravioli with artichoke, mint and ricotta, deep-fried prawn and seaweed cones, freshly baked focaccia, tomato and oregano popcorn and white chocolate and roast peach cups. No effort was spared with Goldin spending a week preparing his whole roast Porchetta whilst £1,000 worth of truffle was flown over from Trevi, Italy especially for the occasion. The signature One Warwick Park cocktail was served as the Louis Roederer Champagne flowed.

The tinkling of baby grand ivories delighted the 300 plus revelers in the light-filled Atrium whilst soul-singer Jason Livingston and Mint DJ Services kept the party going into the small hours.

Louise Clark, Managing Director of Markerstudy leisure, commented on the evening, “It’s been an amazing (and long) journey to get here  - at so many points over the past 3yrs we didn’t think we would. We’re exceptionally proud of what we’ve created and believe we have the potential to be one of the finest hotels in the UK.“

Said Kiaran MacDonald, Managing Director of The Savoy, “It’s an absolute honour to be here. I see a real connection between One Warwick Park and The Savoy; both have been a journey of restoration; both have gone over- time and over-budget and both have the “OMG” factor. It’s a great testament to the team’s hard work – you can feel the pulse of pride, passion and love for what has been created.  It’s a fantastic transformation beyond anything I thought it could be.”

Tunbridge Wells MP Greg Clarke, who spoke at the opening, commented, “On behalf of the whole community I’d like to thank the One Warwick Park team for their service in restoring these magnificent buildings.”

Said Harry Collins, “It’s a magnificent hotel which will bring nothing but good to Tunbridge Wells.”

Fashion Designer Karl Donoghue, who attended the opening with uniform designer Nicole Manier, commented, “It’s amazing what they’ve done here. Nicole (Manier) has perfectly married the uniform with the style of the hotel; elegant, stylish, classic and contemporary all in one!”

One Warwick Park, an elegant 39-room hotel, will open in Tunbridge Wells’ historic Pantiles district on 1ST July 2016.  The new property will offer stylish and contemporary interior design, a destination Mediterranean-inspired restaurant L’AMORE and 180- capacity function room.
