Pestana's five award-winning Pousadas de Portugal

Pestana’s Pousadas de Portugal
Pestana’s Pousadas de Portugal has announced that Pousada Mosteiro de Guimarães has been selected to join the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
A stone’s throw away from the historical centre of Guimarães – a UNESCO world heritage site – Pousada Mosteiro de Guimarães is situated in a beautifully restored 12th century Augustinian Monastery, filled with a lifetime of Portuguese history.

"The inclusion of Pousada de Guimarães in the Small Luxury Hotels of the World chain is another important step in our mission to make the brand grow in quality and innovation” comments Miguel Velez, Executive Committee Member at Pestana. “We now have five Pousadas recognised by the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which allows our customers to traverse Portugal from North to South, while staying in monasteries and palaces with genuine history".

Alongside Pousada Mosteiro de Guimarães, Pestana is delighted to introduce their existing members of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, representing the best from the Monuments category and focusing on exceptional service and on curating, local, authentic experiences for guests using the historical beauty of their surroundings.
