Chateau Rhianfa reveals new lodge rooms

 Chateau Rhianfa lodge room
Luxury Anglesey hotel, Chateau Rhianfa, has revealed the first photographs of its new lodge building.
With views across the Menai Strait and the snow capped mountains of Snowdonia, as well as a luxurious interior, the new Rhianfa Lodge is certainly going to be a popular place to stay.

The development, which was given the go ahead in September last year (2015), has seen the former staff lodges, known at Coed Celyn, transformed into an eight-bedroom lodge.

These double rooms have all been designed to have a New England style and the lodge itself has views reaching over the Menai Strait to mainland North Wales and Mount Snowdon.

They add to the existing 16 bedrooms in Chateau Rhianfa and the three self-catering properties, and will sleep a further 14 guests.

Quinton O’Shea, General Manager, said they were really excited to officially open Rhianfa Lodge for Easter weekend.

“We’ve been watching the lodges develop over the past few months and are looking forward to welcoming our first guests this weekend,” he said.

“The style of the lodge is quite different to that of the hotel, and has a real New England feeling to it. It really is quite beautifully finished, and the views across the beautiful North Wales landscape are incredible.”

Anyone staying in the Rhianfa Lodge will enjoy all the hotel’s facilities, but be located just a one minute walk away from the hotel in the separate building.

This latest reveal follows the opening of Chateau Rhianfa’s newly named restaurant, Le Dragon Rouge. The restaurant opened its doors to local guests on February 18th to mark the beginning of a new chapter for the venue, which is keen to welcome local people as well as hotel guests.

Quinton added: “Since the opening of Le Dragon Rouge we’ve seen many more familiar local faces visiting and enjoying the fantastic dishes prepared by our Head Chef Paul Wenbourne and Sous Chef Jason Hughes. We’ve already been listed in the 2016 Michelin Guide and are looking forward to more good things ahead.”
