The Conservatorium, Amsterdam launches Tunes Academy

For Guests Who Want to Learn More about the World of Alcoholic Drinks

This Spring, the iconic Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam is launching a new concept in its Tunes Bar to give hotel guests, visitors and locals alike the chance to learn more about alcoholic drinks. Tunes Academy will give interesting insights into the world of liquors, wines and champagnes, and provide the perfect educational evening whether staying at the hotel or just visiting.

Tunes Academy will take place every month and each workshop will feature a different theme. The first edition will take place on the night of Monday 14 March with a masterclass into the Asian spirits and flavours. This masterclass includes an interactive talk with Yoigokochi sake importers who will explain which sakes have been selected to be served in the Conservatorium hotel.

They will also allow guests to taste the differences between many different variations of sake including one that has aged for over 30 years and a more sweet sake created with yuzu. Furthermore, there will be learning and tasting by the famous fish supplier Jan van As. To accompany this, guests will be offered a selection of Asian tapas from the Taiko kitchen.

Participation in Tunes Academy costs €65,- per person.
