London Heathrow Marriott announces £3 million conference and meeting space transformation

London Heathrow Marriott meeting room
Business guests at the London Heathrow Marriott Hotel will be meeting in style thanks to a multi-million pound conference room refurbishment programme.
The popular business and leisure hotel has begun transforming its meeting experience with the introduction of engaging technology and flexible workspaces that inspire collaboration and creative solutions for delegates.
Due for completion by May 2016, the investment will see 14 fully redesigned, multi-purpose meeting rooms within 1,800 square metres of refurbished conference space.

The renovated conference space will offer a meeting room capacity of up to 480 people with an additional four meeting rooms, all equipped with innovative technology such as Write on Walls, Barco Clickshare, LED screens, Bluetooth sound bars and an integrated PA system.  Business guests will also be able to enjoy a reimagined food and beverage experience in the new conference area, along with versatile seating options and flexible social spaces.

The renovation will see an increase in the hotel’s pre-function area and will cover 900 square metres, perfect for accommodating larger conferences and exhibitions. This has proven to be especially important as recent trends have shown many overseas conferences are opting to stay in Heathrow instead of going in to Central London.

The four-star venue is working closely with award-winning architects, EPR, to prepare its fresh new space. With a reputation as one of the UK’s leading architectural practices, EPR offers master planning and interior design excellence in line with the hotel’s vision for its Next Generation meeting space.

The hotel is ideal for leisure or business guests wanting to stay close to Heathrow Airport terminals 1, 2 and 3 and is well-placed for London events and conferences.

Speaking about the refurbishment, general manager, Ron Vos, said: “This has been a major source of investment for the hotel and we can’t wait for guests to see the new conference and meeting space once completed.

“It is part of our wider commitment to providing guests with the very best stay in a contemporary, convenient location and the investment is guaranteed to deliver that.”
