Rotana renews brand endorsement contract with British golfer Melissa Reid

Europe’s No.2 ranked golfer will continue to serve as Rotana’s global golf ambassador

Rotana, one of the leading hotel management companies in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe, has announced extending its brand endorsement agreement with Melissa Reid, one of the UK’s leading golfers and Europe’s current number two ranked golfer.

“When we first welcomed her into the Rotana family back in 2011, Melissa had already been making waves as one of Europe’s top young golfing talents, and has since emerged as one of the most exciting players on the professional golf circuit,” said Omer Kaddouri, President & CEO of Rotana.

“Melissa has been a terrific ambassador for Rotana over the last four years and we’re delighted to have her as our golf ambassador, strengthening our connection with the sport which has an incredible global reach and a legion of fans and golfing enthusiasts.”

Melissa was Europe’s top-ranked amateur when she turned Professional in 2007. She duly won the Rookie of the Year award on the Ladies European Tour in 2008 and has not looked back since.

Reid said of the partnership: ““For the last four years, Rotana has provided me with all the support and opportunities I need on and off the golf course, and I’m very glad to continue my partnership with them. In particular, the association with Rotana has afforded me the chance to get valuable training on some great facilities during the winter months, and I’m very excited at the opportunity to continue taking the Rotana brand to audiences all over the world.”

The new agreement coincides with Melissa’s strong showing at the prestigious Omega Dubai Ladies Masters in December 2015, where she found herself on the winner’s podium with a third-place finish.

Furthermore, she has enjoyed a solid 2015, the highlights of the year being her triumph at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open where she led from start to finish to secure her fifth Ladies European Tour title, and the Solhiem Cup, where she was the only unbeaten player in the European Team.
