Bespoke Hotels has announced that famed Surrey coaching inn, The Talbot at Ripley, has joined its growing ranks. Set on Ripley High Street, it’s conveniently placed for access to London, alongside Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. Additionally, it’s a property steeped in history, standing as the reported location where Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton’s love affair first blossomed.

Having been part of the Bespoke Hotels group until August 2012, the Talbot came under the management of first Marco Pierre White, before passing to Jupiter Hotels in April 2014. Now back with the UK’s largest independent hotel group, the property remains one of England’s finest coaching inns, as well as being a great treat for foodies anywhere. Renovated to an exceptional standard, it boasts 43 bedrooms, alongside conference space for up to 120 delegates. Weddings are a speciality.

Graham Marskell, Managing Director of Bespoke Hotels commented, “we are delighted to be resuming our stewardship of The Talbot. It’s a property brimming with personality, which adds both character and history to our portfolio. We look forward to investing in the property and enhancing its appeal together with the hotel team.”
