IHG signs Holiday Inn® Warsaw – City Centre

Holiday Inn® Warsaw – City Centre
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced the signing of Holiday Inn® Warsaw - City Centre, Poland. The hotel will operate under a management agreement with UBM, who own a number of IHG hotels including InterContinental® Warsaw.

Due to open in early 2018, the 254-room hotel is just 500 metres from the Palace of Culture and Science and Zlote Tarasy - a commercial, office and entertainment complex. It is less than a ten minute walk away from the city’s main train station and a 20 minute drive from Warsaw Chopin International Airport, making it very accessible to the city centre.

Holiday Inn Warsaw – City Centre will be the first Holiday Inn hotel in Poland to feature the brand’s signature Open Lobby with a 24hr restaurant and bar. The Holiday Inn Open Lobby has transformed the traditional hotel lobby format by combining the front desk, restaurant, bar, lounge area and business centre into one open, cohesive space, while refreshing the design to give it a more contemporary feel. The concept has been established by understanding how people use space at home in order to give guests the most flexibility, whether they’re looking to eat, relax, work, or have fun in one integrated space. The hotel also features a 118 square metre conference area, five meeting rooms and a gym on the 16th floor with a panoramic view of the city.

Miguel Martins, Director of Development, Poland, IHG said: “This hotel will be a fantastic addition to our Holiday Inn portfolio, with a great long term partner UBM. We’re thrilled Holiday Inn Warsaw – City Centre will bring the brand’s signature Open Lobby to Poland, giving domestic and international guests the chance to experience the new feature first hand. As part of our continued strategic expansion across Europe, Warsaw is a key city for us, so this is an important step for our growth in the region.”

Martin Loecker, COO of UBM said: “Given the success of our IHG partnership with InterContinental Warsaw and Holiday Inn® Frankfurt - Alte Oper, the opportunity to build on this relationship was a natural next step. This will be our first Holiday Inn in Poland and we’re confident that the fantastic location of this hotel coupled with the brand’s Open Lobby will make this hotel a top choice for both business and leisure guests.”
