Il Borro launches horse riding tours

Il Borro, a medieval resort in the heart of Tuscany, has launched new horse riding tours, allowing guests to explore the beautiful, rural countryside of southern Italy from the saddle.

The property, which sits within 700 hectares, offers five bespoke horse riding options:
Ride through the Il Borro countryside
This relaxing tour allows guests to explore the property’s vineyards, surrounding countryside and learn about the history of the medieval village of Il Borro, which dates back to 12th Century.
Priced at 30 euros per person

Ride along the river
For guests who want to explore the diversity of the Tuscan countryside and the 700 hectare estate this tour follows the river, which meanders through the property, and crosses picturesque bridges. The ride can be tailormade depending on the ability of the rider.
Priced at 50 euros per person for two hours

Sunset ride
A special excursion where guests are taken to the best spot to watch the setting sun. There is also the option to enjoy a cocktail while enjoying the unique and beautiful changing Tuscan skyline. Prices start at 40 euros

Picnic on horse ride
These two and three hour tours of the estate include a traditional Tuscan picnic, prepared by Executive Chef Andrea Campani, which can be enjoyed in the most piqturesque spots of the property.
Priced at 90 euros per person

Lessons in the ring
From beginners to professionals, Il Borro caters to all by offering horse riding lessons in the ring, perfect for those who want to learn to ride or who want to improve their skills. Lessons can be for up to four people and can be either 30 minutes or 1 hour.
