Foodies looking to tantalise their taste buds need look no further than the beautiful five-star Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort, Lanzarote. Over a series of three gastronomy evenings, from now until November 2015, the resort will be delighting guests with the delicacies of Michelin Starred Chefs, highly trained chefs to royalty and TV chef personalities.

Guest chefs include Michelin Starred Chefs Rafael Sanchez, head chef at the gourmet Es Fum restaurant, and René Mathieu, former Chef de cuisine for the Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg and current chef at the elegant La Distillerie restaurant at Château Bourlingster. These chefs will be designing and cooking exclusive set menus which visitors to Princesa Yaiza will be able to book for a one-off dining experience.  

This week saw the programmed kick-off with Chefs Victor Rodrigo and Carlos Medina, former contestants of the latest edition of the Antena 3 hit, Top Chef. The two chefs graced Princesa Yaiza’s Isla de Lobos restaurant with their creative dishes including a starter of Korean Boki with Kimchi infused with strawberries and fresh pomegranate, a main of Canarian Rock Fish with black garlic and “Vino Rancio”, and lemon and lime slush with pine capsules for desert.

Gastronomy with Chef René Mathieu “Restaurante La Distillerie”: 7th – 13th September 2015
 Traditionally from Luxembourg, René Mathieu is an internationally renowned Michelin Starred Chef. Chef de cuisine for three years for the Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg, Rene has an impressive CV. With numerous accolades under his belt, Rene currently serves his Michelin star food at the elegant dining room of the La Distillerie restaurant at Château Bourlingster.

Gastronomy with Chef Rafael Sanchez “Restaurante Es Fum”: 5th November – 7th November 2015
Michelin Starred Chef Rafael Sánchez has created his own unique culinary style; the ingredients of his dishes are clearly identifiable in terms of shape, colour, aroma and flavour. His passion, originality and dedication have been rewarded with major distinctions and, after being appointed as Head Chef of the Plat d’Or restaurant in 2003, he maintained the restaurant’s Michelin star for many years. He has been head chef at Es Fum since 2014, a gourmet restaurant and proud holder of a Michelin star.  

With eight restaurants, including Japanese and Mexican show-cooking, traditional Spanish tapas and the renowned gourmet ‘Isla de Lobos’ restaurant; Princesa Yaiza has long been known as a gourmet leader in the Canary Islands.
