Gourmet and wine escape with VILA VITA Parc and Herdade dos Grous

Portugal experiences the earliest wine harvest in Europe often starting in August and VILA VITA Parc’s country and wine estate, Herdade dos Grous in the Alentejo region is the ideal place to learn about the wine-making process, as well indulging in some of the celebrated wines at the farm.

Guests can explore the vineyards or have a guided tour of the wine cellars where they will learn the winemaking process. Herdade dos Grous has a stunning restaurant overlooking the beautiful countryside composed of olive groves, cork oak forests and vineyards. The chef, Rui Prado creates dishes of traditional Portuguese fare to compliment the refined Herdade dos Grous wines, including Moon Harvest, 23 Barricas and Reserva.

The farm is only an hour drive from VILA VITA Parc making it an ideal day trip to explore the countryside. VILA VITA Parc has recently concluded refurbishment works in its Residence building after an extensive 6 month renovation, which included the refurbishment of 24 Residence Rooms and 3 Suites, and the 2-Michelin starred Ocean restaurant. The Residence enjoys a prime cliff top location, offering breath-taking views over the Atlantic Ocean. The elegant style and Moorish architecture of the building provides the ideal backdrop for this exclusive adult retreat.
