London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square takes Meetings Imagined from trial to launch

Meetings Imagined has launched at London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square following a highly successful trial period at Marriott’s flagship conference and events hotel. It is an innovative online conference, events and meeting tool designed to help meeting organisers’ visualise, plan and implement their event. London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square was the only property in the UK to test the initiative before it was made available nationwide in April 2015.

With 30 years’ experience, London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square has expert knowledge and experience in executing intimate meetings to gala evenings within London’s largest pillar-free ballroom and 15 event spaces. The hotel is also known for its flexible ‘den’, which creates the perfect space, with bean bags and retro video games, to help delegates to think in a creative and dynamic way.  

Centered on a stand-alone microsite, Meetings Imagined encourages planners to identify the purpose of their meeting (Celebrate, Decide, Educate, Ideate, Network, Produce or Promote) and tailor their event using the site’s expert tips and trends. Users can create personalised inspiration galleries to share ideas with colleagues and the in-house hotel team in order to book their perfect event. The expansion of the package into other Marriott hotels also sees the beginning of an exciting partnership that will allow delegates to enjoy self-service Starbucks coffee during their meeting.

The new launch complements last year’s launch of the Red Coat Direct App, which allows organisers to ask for additional services, such as extra coffee or tea, change in dining times and further AV equipment, subtly during the meeting. The app has proved to be exceptionally popular and allows organisers to continue to perfect meetings seamlessly, even once they are underway.  

London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square’s Delegates Day Package gives guests the opportunity to enjoy lunch in Gordon Ramsay’s maze Grill for lunch, serving signature rare breed steaks and a selection of sushi and sashimi. Meetings can be concluded in the speakeasy-style bar, The Luggage Room, for a cocktail from the bar’s award-winning mixologist at the end of the day. The Delegates Day Package is priced from £75 per person.  

Originally a stately townhouse, London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square is now home to 217 rooms and 20 suites. These include eight Balcony Suites, each of which has an inward-facing terrace and access to a secret landscaped garden, offering a green oasis and privacy in the heart of London.
