Santa has been spreading Christmas cheer a little early around businesses in the Solihull area.
Hogarths Hotel & Restaurant in Four Ashes Road, Dorridge, organised a special mission to promote Christmas festivities at their four-star venue a little early.
Father Christmas was joined by sales manager Robert Elliot, conference and banqueting manager Adam Bessant, conference host Mandy Hanigan and sales executive Sarah Shirley in the day-long trip.

Robert said over 600 brochures and Santa coasters had been delivered to Dorridge, Blythe Valley, Knowle, Solihull and Birmingham International Station.

He said: “The day started with a trip to Dorridge where we visited local businesses and handed out our Christmas brochures with Santa posing for photos with children and shop owners who seemed bemused to see him at this stage of the year.

“We then headed to Blyth Valley Business Park where Father Christmas was again called into action to have his photo taken with staff from Virgin Active Solihull.

“The next port of call was Monkspath in Solihull where Santa didn’t need too much persuading to swap his sleigh for the chance to sit in shiny new cars at Mini, BMW, Ferrari and Maserati.

“Our whistle-stop tour saw the team visit Willows Veterinary Centre & Referral Service where their whole team wanted a picture with Santa while we handed out Hogarths’ brochures to nearby business.

“Following a quick trip to EOS and a well-deserved tea break, it was off to Knowle – or Noel as we renamed it – to visit a wide range of businesses.

“The final leg was completed in Solihull town centre with plenty of appreciative wolf whistles for Santa and photo requests before we finished in the VIP Lounge at Virgin Trains at Birmingham International Station.

“Altogether we gave out over 600 brochures and I think Santa’s coasters are now under nearly every coffee mug in the area.

“We are planning our second Christmas campaign in June when again the team will be out and about.

“The day after our festive blitz, we came back to the hotel to find that Christmas enquiries had already been made to the sales office so it is great that all our efforts had been well worth it.”
