Witness Africa’s Zebra migration at Africa Albida Tourism’s luxurious Ngoma Safari Lodge, Botswana

A boutique eight suite property, Ngoma is nestled in the spectacular scenery of Botswana’s Chobe Forest Reserve and enjoys expansive views out over a flood plain, where every year between August and October up to two thousand zebra will pass on a migratory journey of over 300 miles!

All eight suites at Ngoma Safari Lodge have vast uninterrupted views of the African wilderness views, over the flood plains where the migrating zebra herds, during August and September, to graze on the new grass which springs up after the water subsides. The main lodge area is the epitome of luxurious open plan living, with comfortable terraces and viewing decks to relax over a delicious meal or sundowner cocktail. The secluded river facing suites which boast indoor and out-door showers, and private sanctuary “refresh and relax” pool, providing the perfect oasis from which to enjoy Botswana’s open skies and amazing wildlife.

Ngoma Safari Lodge’s tranquil and remote location, at the centre of one of Africa’s largest nature reserves, the Kavango–Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, gives guests unrivalled game viewing opportunities, as well front row seats for the zebra migration. Guests will see water buck, impala, giraffe and Chobe’s famous elephants. Spending the glorious African mornings on guided safaris through the park, followed by lazy afternoons on the terrace watching the wildlife out on the river plain, guests will be fully immersed in the spectacular natural scenery around them. Romantic river cruises and bush picnics are also offered for those keen to explore the rugged Chobe River region further.

Upcoming developments include the addition of four new rooms including a Presidential Suite, a canvas tented Spa, Canoe journeys, walking safaris, a new Swamp Cruiser boat for private boat safaris and a hide overlooking the floodplain for private game viewing and relaxation.
