The Stafford London launches new American Bar cocktail menu

The Stafford London has announced the new Cocktail Menu in the iconic American Bar. Created by Head Mixologist Eric Rychnausky, the menu takes on classic London influence and is infused with historic World War II heritage, and a dash of modern taste. The new Cocktail Menu features nine new alluring cocktails, all carefully thought out and specially formulated by Eric to enhance guest experience in the famous bar, and also features a cocktail of the month drawing upon local seasonal ingredients.

Many of the cocktails are influenced by The Stafford’s long history; the hotel’s Wine Cellars doubled as a bomb shelter for the troops in the Second World War. The White Mouse, infused with Boudier Saffron Gin, shaken with lemon juice and honey, then topped with champagne, was named after Nancy Wake, a French resistance spy and one of Churchill's most highly decorated special agents who aided the troops from a seat at the American Bar. The Spitfire, made with Chase marmalade vodka and fresh passion fruit combined with elderflower cordial and vanilla syrup, and topped with Champagne, is a homage to the classic wartime planes hanging in the famous saloon. The Stafford’s Garden, bathed with Hendricks Gin paired with fresh apple juice, apple sourz, fresh mint, and cucumber with an orange twist, is a blend straight from the herb garden in the hotel’s courtyard, Blue Ball Yard. The Stafford London is thrilled about the new additions, and looking forward to sharing the creations with loyal guests of the hotel in the upcoming spring and summer season.

Eric Rychnausky himself can be found behind the American Bar, shaking and stirring the mouth-watering ingredients, and will likely share his inspirations for the masterful creations. Eric, an enthusiastic Slovakian, previously from the Malmaison Hotel, joined the American bar team in 2010, and never looked back. He has a Level 3 certificate by Wine & Spirits, and is happily extending his portfolio with the Stafford’s new Cocktail Menu.
