Celebrate The Year of The Goat at The Opposite House, Beijing

The biggest event in the Chinese calendar hails the coming together of families and friends to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year, with incredible food, fireworks and plenty of entertainment. To welcome in the year of the goat, The Opposite House has created the ‘Gongxi Facai’ room package, and a celebratory set dinner menu at their Chinese restaurant, Jing Yaa Tang.

The ‘Gongxi Facai’ room package, available from the 18 - 24 February­ includes a relaxing one-night stay at The Opposite House, along with an exclusive Chinese New Year dinner for two at Jing Yaa Tang. Featuring 8 dishes, including Jing Yaa Tang’s signature Beijing roast duck and appetisers of Chilled Cherry Tomatoes Marinated in Plum Sauce, Braised Beef and Mushroom Soup, and Duck Gizzard with Sichuan Pepper, this celebratory meal is sure to welcome the year of the goat in gastronomic style. For the main course, guests will delight in Wok-fried Cuttlefish with Homemade X.O. Sauce, Wok-fried Chicken Breast and Shrimps with Water Chestnuts, and Wok-fried Choy Sum. A traditional warm Red Bean Soup with Lotus Seeds will be served to complete the festive meal.

Once the festivities are over, guests can enjoy breakfast at Village Café, located on the first floor of the House where a wide variety of pastries, baked goods, as well as all time breakfast favourites await. Throughout guest’s stay, The Opposite House provides a complimentary mini-bar and Wi-Fi, along with unlimited use of workout and pool facilities. Flexible check-in and checkout times may be arranged according to availability.
