Castello di Casole – A Timbers Resort welcomes new General Manager Federico Galligani

Hotel Castello di Casole – A Timbers Resort has named Federico Galligani as General Manager. Galligani assumes the role after three years as Food and Beverage Manager at Castello di Casole, where he has been an integral part of the team, successfully managing the operations for the estate’s restaurants and bars, including fine dining venue Ristorante Tosca and Bar Visconti.

Galligani brings to the role a wealth of industry experience in international hospitality. He began his career at the Savoy Hotel, London, where he was awarded Young Waiter of the Year. Over the course of his 27-year career he has since held leadership positions at a number of luxury hotels across Europe, including Gstaad Palace Hotel in Switzerland, Hotel Nassauer Hof in Germany, The Hotel Excelsior in Venice and Hotel St Regis in Rome. Born in Florence, he speaks four languages; Italian, English, German and French.

“Since joining the Castello di Casole team, Federico has been a pillar of excellence in hospitality and operational execution,” said Timbers Resorts’ CEO and founder, David Burden. “His extensive experience in the luxury hotel sector and remarkable leadership skills will ensure that our team continues to deliver the highest levels of service to our guests.”

Timbers Resorts reopened the 41-suite boutique hotel in July 2012 after a seven-year restoration process. Set in the heart of Tuscany, Castello di Casole – A Timbers Resort offers guests rustic Tuscan elegance in a spectacular setting, surrounded by 100 acres of vineyards, 33 acres of olive groves and a model game reserve. The five-star facilities include the Essere spa, a state of the art fitness centre and a collection of fine and casual dining venues.
