BEST WESTERN Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham, south Manchester has posted one of its most successful business years with bumper Christmas sales exceeding last year by 20% and its profits forecast to double by the end of the 2014-15 year.  This comes alongside the completion of a £1.25 million refurbishment programme which has seen a new look reception, bar, bedrooms and main meeting spaces, which have all contributed to the Hotel’s successful year.

As the Hotel’s 40 year celebrations come to a close it can also report that hotel occupancy is up from 65% to 80% this year, and that investment by owners Longrose Buccleuch Hotels (LBML) will continue as the next stage of refurbishment will include additional meeting rooms and the restaurant.

The Hotel also won a string of awards throughout last year including the prestigious WorldHost status, the only hotel in Manchester to be awarded the accolade,  and it scooped The Altrincham & Sale Chamber of Commerce business award for Leisure and Tourism 2014.

Commenting on the success Paul Hindley, general manager of the BEST WESTERN Cresta Court, said: “We knew 2014 would be a special year as we celebrated 40 years in business, but our results have really surpassed all our expectations’

‘The staff have put in exceptional effort to get us where we are today and the fact that we’ve doubled our profits and our occupancy rate is up to 80% is a fantastic achievement for them all.  Our refurbishment programme is set to continue into the new year as we see additional meetings rooms and the restaurant brought up to date and we’re looking forward to improving on this year’s results in 2015.”
