A Leicester hotel is undergoing a stylish makeover as part of a £100,000 refurbishment project.
The three-phase Holiday Inn Express Leicester City revamp will take place over a period of six weeks, with completion expected by the end of November.
Guests of the property, managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels, will enjoy upgraded public areas including the restaurant, bar, reception and meeting rooms.

The new décor, which includes flooring, furniture and lighting, features bold, rich colours to give the hotel a contemporary feel. And subtle sports fan-related elements nod towards the adjacent King Power Stadium – Leicester City Football Club’s home ground – and nearby Leicester Tigers Rugby Club.

Steven Foster, divisional director at Redefine|BDL Hotels, said: “The transformation at Holiday Inn Express Leicester City is really beginning to take shape. The hotel attracts a wide variety of guests – whether visiting for leisure, attending conferences and meetings, or taking in sporting and other events at the King Power Stadium, and we wish to accommodate all of these visitors in style.

“The redecorated and refurbished meeting rooms will be perfect for conferences and meetings, while the new look bar and restaurant will create the perfect atmosphere for guests either starting or ending their night here.

“The entire offering will ensure continuing high standards across our portfolio, and the investment project is only one of a number of ongoing developments currently under way across Redefine|BDL Hotels properties.”
