Starwood Hotels & Resorts introduces new corporate travel management programme

From the Global Business Travel Association Convention (GBTA) in Los Angeles last week, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and its award-winning Starwood Preferred Guest® (SPG®) programme announced the launch of a new corporate transient offering that simplifies travel management and delivers robust benefits and enhanced service to travel managers.

“Starwood’s new programme makes corporate travel management a seamless, personalised and rewarding experience and we are confident it will be well received by travel managers,” said Jonathan Kaplan, Director, New Business Development and Prospecting, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. “We are delighted to offer our customers improved travel tracking and management tools which provide the perfect platform for accounts to grow.”

The new, tiered benefit programme gives travel mangers the opportunity to earn discounts of up to seven percent on room nights and makes it easy to manage corporate travel with enhanced online tracking tools, sales and service specialists and online support. As room nights accumulate, travel managers will also be able to gift SPG elite status to their colleagues, and all employees of registered accounts will receive Corporate Preferred Status which includes an award of two Starpoints for every eligible U.S. dollar spent at participating hotels, an enhanced room at check-in and a 4:00 p.m. late check-out.
