Gstaad’s new Le Grand Bellevue celebrates its first summer introducing a host of alpine activities

Re-launched under new ownership in December, Le Grand Bellevue is already setting a new precedent in Gstaad. Since its takeover and renovation by dynamic young Swiss couple, Daniel and Davia Koetser, Le Grand Bellevue has injected a refreshingly eclectic and relaxed hotel concept to this famously traditional resort. In the heart of Gstaad village, on the promenade itself, this 57-room hotel enjoys a neighbourhood spirit and the welcoming feel of a country house hotel. Bold design and a humorous flair have transformed this 100 year old palace hotel to attract a sophisticated design-savvy clientele.

Summertime sees Gstaad in bloom and buzzing with holidaymakers taking advantage of attractive rates and an array of cultural, sporting and wellbeing activities. Opening for its first summer season on the 20 June, Le Grand Bellevue is pleased to announce the following new features:

· Le Grand Spa – the Bellevue’s 2,500sqm spa is a world-class sanctuary for wellness working in partnership with organic English brand, Bamford, and revolutionary Swiss facial brand, Cellcosmet. Extensive facilities include: eight spacious treatment rooms; an array of heat therapies including Turkish hammam, Himalayan salt inhalation grotto and an outdoor Finnish sauna; a fully equipped gym including the latest Technogym cardio machines; and yoga & Pilates studio. The spa has serene relaxation areas with waterbeds overlooking the mountains and a 200sqm swimming pool opening onto a lavender-clad terrace. In the evenings, the gardens will play host to an outdoor cinema, with classic films projected under the stars whilst guests enjoy an al fresco 3-course dinner. On Tuesday 8 July, the hotel will be hosting their Davidoff Saveurs dinner where an array of the Chef’s renowned risottos will be served at the outdoor cinema, followed by a delicious caviar ice-cream.
