Restored Manor House opens as a new luxury venue for meetings and events on in the Cotswolds

A new luxury venue opens for business this May on the Farncombe Estate, just outside the market-town of Broadway in the Cotswolds.  Foxhill Manor has undergone a major renovation and is ideal for bespoke corporate meetings and retreats.

The epitome of Cotswold style, Foxhill Manor sits in the heart of the privately owned, 400-acre Farncombe Estate, which is also home to  Farncombe Conference Centre and recently re-launched Dormy House Hotel & Spa.  The brilliant transformation has kept much of the building’s original character – open fireplaces, a sweeping staircase and Cotswold mullion windows – adding contemporary twists.

The investment aims to bring new business to the local area including meetings, events and strategy retreats, and will increase the profile of the Cotswolds as a great place to do business.  “We felt there was a gap in the market for an intimate and traditional venue for the corporate market,” says Chris Ward, Commercial Director of Farncombe Estate “and a great deal of care has gone into ensuring the house remains true to its heritage while creating an exceptional event space and place to do business.  It is the little touches that build team spirit and productivity. The setting of Foxhill Manor and range of activities available – from shooting, archery and cycling on the Estate and golf at the Broadway Golf Club next door – make Foxhill Manor a great place for presentations, brainstorming sessions, board meetings and team building exercises.”

The Venue and Meeting Space
Foxhill Manor has a spaciousness that few houses can offer and can be tailored to all requirements – from smaller board meetings to larger presentations.  The Ballroom is flooded with natural daylight with its full-length French windows and orangery-style roof.  It can accommodate up to 28 delegates boardroom style and 40 cabaret style.  For informal presentations, the Media Room is a modern, funky space with dark walls, mood lighting and state-of-the-art technology, including an integrated surround sound plasma screen.  The Dining Room comfortably seats up to 18 guests and the sitting room is the ideal spot to relax with a night-cap.

The Accommodation
There are eight spacious bedroom suites, all with stunning en-suite bathrooms and free-standing baths.  Additional accommodation options include Dormy House Hotel & Spa which has 40 guestrooms, while Farncombe Conference Centre at the heart of the Estate has 89 en-suite rooms which start at £70 per room, per night.

Room to Relax
The private Estate has endless walks and its own sign-posted nature trail.  With the guidance of a dedicated events manager, who is on hand throughout each booking, activities on the Farncombe Estate can be arranged at an extra cost.  These include cycling, shooting, archery, golf and private wine and whisky tastings.
