Large format wines at Bar Boulud, London with David Vareille

Bar Boulud’s acclaimed Sommelier David Vareille
Bar Boulud’s acclaimed Sommelier David Vareille will be opening a selection of special large-format wines from his cellar this spring.   Pop in during March to catch a glimpse of the theatrics as Vareille invites guests to take a taste of Croatia at its best. A worldwide exclusivity, Vareille will be open five 12-litre bottles of Saints Hills, SV Roko, Dalmacija, 2011.

In May, Vareille will be opening a line-up of 18 double Magnum’s from the 2009 Bordeaux vintage. Wine experts will know that 2009 hit the headlines for Bordeaux, as prices sky-rocketed, and Vareille has some of the major players from this vintage in his cellar including Château Beau-Séjour Bécot, Château d'Issan, La Chapelle de la Mission, La Tour-du-Pin, Château Malartic-Lagravière, Château Pape Clément.

Serving great wine by the glass at the table from rare, large-format bottles within the buzzing restaurant is a Bar Boulud trademark.
