Butlins unveils plans for new hotel at Minehead

Butlins and Butlins Events have unveiled plans to further regenerate their Minehead resort with the introduction of a brand new resort-style hotel. The £20 million development looks to replace some of the site’s existing accommodation and will provide corporate groups with an exciting new overnight and breakout option. The new property will also be made available for exclusive hire.

Following the successful launch of Butlins’ Wave Hotel in 2012 at their Bognor Regis resort, this new planned development in Minehead is just another example of how Butlins Events wish to further expand their corporate offering.  Ideal for larger conferences and events, as well as smaller delegations, the new hotel incorporate 206 rooms.

With its coastal location and Exmoor National Park “back garden”, Butlins Minehead is located just 60 miles from Bristol and an hour from the M5. The resort is already well-known for its wide range of teambuilding activities including zip wires, high ropes, sat nav treasure hunts and archery as well as the Land Rover safari and coasteering activities available off site.

“The locale and sheer capacity of our Minehead resort lends itself perfectly to a host of corporate meetings, large events and teambuilding days. The development of a new hotel onsite is just another addition to our extensive corporate offering, and will further enhance our year round MICE offering,” commented Simon Jones, National Sales Manager at Butlins Events.
