The Belfry unveils new multimillion pound look

The Belfry exterior
This is an exciting time for the Midland’s premier luxury destination, The Belfry – as the iconic resort completes a comprehensive £26 million refurbishment programme. Surrounded by over 500 acres of rolling countryside, The new Belfry introduces luxurious meeting and event rooms, guest bedrooms and suites, the brand new Ryder Grill restaurant and Brabazon Bar, as well as refurbished Sam’s Clubhouse, and new public lounges and reception areas.

Internationally renowned for its heritage in the world of golf, the renovations have fully restored the hotel to its former glory as world class conference and business destination. Ideally located close to the National Exhibition Centre, the resort is a gateway to Birmingham city centre and the Midlands region. Transport links are excellent with Birmingham International Airport and Railway station close by and easy access to national motorway networks via the M6 and M42

Managing Director of the Belfry Lynn Hood commented, “It’s an incredibly exciting time for The Belfry. The building work started in April 2013 and has completely transformed the resort. It’s back on the map not only as a golf mecca, but as an outstanding destination for business and relaxation.

Meetings in Style
All 21 conference and event suites and 6 boardrooms have been fully updated to ensure they offer the highest standard of style, comfort and elegance. The meeting spaces are designed to offer effective and flexible solutions for board meetings, seminars, training, exhibitions, product launches and more. The rooms offer natural daylight, space, warm décor and cutting edge technology to meet the most demanding requirements. The largest conference space, The Woodlands Suite, is available to seat 400 in a Theatre Style or 300 in a banquet making it the ideal choice for a wedding, conference or exhibition.

Gastronomy hits the high notes
Set to become the culinary hub of the West Midlands, The Ryder Grill is a refreshing take on modern dining headed up by award winning Chef Director Glen Watson. Diners can enjoy stunning views of the golf course whilst watching the theatre of the open plan kitchen as it takes centre stage. Signature dishes include 28-day dry aged steaks sourced locally from 19Gales Farm and classic Chateaubriand from the Buccleuch Estate.

The Brabazon Bar is located in the heart of the hotel, the former courtyard garden, and has been designed with a central glass copula. Guests can enjoy a range of classic cocktails, fine wines, champagne or afternoon tea prepared by renowned Pastry Chef Dean Cole. For golfers and visitors alike, Sam’s Clubhouse offers a more casual dining experience with high seating at the main bar area and broadcasts of the latest live worldwide sports.

A fresh approach to luxury accommodation
Guests will find that the primary inspiration for the refurbishment of the 319 bedrooms and 14 suites started with the diamond patterned wallpaper, a subtle nod to the famous Pringle golf jumpers and complemented by neutral and modern tones. The new rooms also include walk-in showers, HD wide-screen TV’s and high speed internet as standard.

The Belfry’s Signature Suites provide guests with luxurious and spacious accommodation. All include generous living space and sweeping views of either the PGA Championship or The Brabazon courses. Steeped in history, guests can choose to stay in one of the three Manor House Suites located in the oldest part of the hotel. Benefiting from opulent bathroom space and living area, the accommodation is matched with unique views overlooking The Brabazon.

A Great Place to Escape too
Synonymous with golf The Belfry has become a mecca for both professional and amateur players alike. Host to more Ryder Cup matches than any other venue in the world the three courses, including the internationally revered Brabazon will ensure that time spent at The Belfry makes for the ultimate golfing experience.

Complementing the fantastic golf the resort also offers superb leisure and spa facilities - including a range of relaxation, exercise and fitness options for everyone. Whether you want a full workout in the gym, a lively exercise class, a gentle swim in the pool, a relaxing treatment in the Spa or enjoy the unique experience of ‘Fire & Ice’ featuring 12 bio-thermal rooms – the New Belfry is once again a world class resort destination.
